A non-rusting, steel reinforced epoxy putty, providing fast, permanent repairs to items made of ferrous metal or aluminium. It will repair holes, cracks and threads in castings, pipes and tools, and can be used to hold fixtures and signs, to make models and prototypes, to form nuts in situ and to lock threads. When cured, it sets to a hard, dark grey material that can be drilled, sanded, tapped, machined and filed, as required.

Introducing the D304 Steel-Stick Epoxy Repair Putty – a versatile and durable solution for all your metal repair needs. Made from a hand-kneadable, non-rusting steel reinforced epoxy, this putty takes just one minute to mix and provide fast, permanent repairs to a wide range of ferrous and aluminum metal items. The putty comes in a handy rod form, with the curing agent encapsulated in the contrasting color base material, making it easy to use with no mess or drips.

This repair putty is perfect for a wide range of uses, including the repair of iron pipes, tanks, tools and equipment, strip threads, blowholes, moulds, patterns and castings, downspouts and gutters, ductwork, anchor bolts, forming nuts and bolts in place, holding and placement of fixtures and signs, making prototypes, thread locking, light fixture installations and more.

The D304 Steel-Stick Epoxy Repair Putty boasts excellent properties such as adhesion to a wide range of ferrous metals and metal alloys, cures at room temperature, and has excellent environmental resistance to humidity, temperature and chemicals. It also has a predetermined mixing ratio of base and hardener that ensures perfect results every time.

To use, first clean the surface to be repaired, scuffing or sanding it prior to cleaning helps ensure a good bond. Mix the required amount of Steel-Stick and apply to the surface within 2 minutes of mixing, force the mixed epoxy into any cracks or holes and strike off excess material. For a smooth appearance, hand rub with water or a damp cloth prior to hardening. After 2-3 hours, Steel-Stick will be completely cured and can be drilled, sawn, carved, sanded, stained, or painted.

Please note that D304 Steel-Stick Epoxy Repair Putty is classified as an irritant and contains epoxy resins and hardeners that can cause skin irritation, the use of suitable protective gloves is highly recommended.
