For optimal performance, it is recommended to prime the surface with Silverhook Grey Primer before applying the Matt Black spray. This ensures excellent adhesion and enhances the overall finish.
To ensure the best outcome, it is essential to prepare the area properly. Make sure the surface is free from any wax, oil, grease, or other contaminants. Use wet and dry abrasive paper to prepare the surface, creating a smooth and clean canvas for the paint application.
When ready to begin, mask the surrounding area to avoid any overspray and protect adjacent surfaces. Shake the can vigorously for a minimum of 2 minutes to ensure proper mixing of the paint. For compatibility, it is advisable to test the spray on a similar surface before applying it extensively.
Maintaining a distance of 25cm from the surface, apply the paint using a back and forth motion. Thinly applied coats are recommended, allowing each coat to dry for 15 minutes before applying the next. Building up the paint in this manner will yield the best results, ensuring an even and flawless matte black finish.
After the application is complete, allow the painted surface to dry fully for 24 hours. This ensures that the paint cures properly, providing a durable and resistant coating.
To maintain the performance of the spray can, invert it after each use and spray briefly to clear the nozzle. Alternatively, you can remove the nozzle and clean it with a pin to ensure unobstructed paint flow.
